Boss Ollie, Good Morning!
Quote ito galing sa Absolute Trader: The MACD is showing us the downtrend has already gained momentum and it isn’t slowing down anytime soon. He is referring to our Index. It may go down to as low as 2596.

OCCASIONAL MORNING RANDOM PIZZA THOUGHTS
...good morning to everybody...I am up quite early today because I wanted to see what happened to the DOW...well, the DOW sunk again 103 pts...expect the P6 to follow suit...I wish I had been in a cash position 2-3 weeks ago but I didn't, now I am might be paying (again) for thinking I can outsmart a downtrending market...so how low can our P6 go? how low can the DOW go? would the dollar eventually settle at php 45? (para sa PAX haha)...how come there seem to be a drought in our local corporate news...good local corporate news, I mean...
...I have been reading that after this downtrend, a sideways movement would eventually follow for the P6...this should be the case if we want the P6 to be eventually propelled up once again...a sideways movement of probably 2-4 weeks...if this is what it would take for the P6 to go up again, then I'll go for that...in the meantime that I am still invested, I think I should already be converting some of it into cash (I hope I am not that late)...
...still on the market, this red DOW does not bode well for MPI (also for the other issues trying to hold down the slide: MEG, FLI (oversold na), ALI (holding the 10/10.25/10.50 walls). MPI closed 2.22, unchanged from last friday's close...but yesterday, it made a small rally to 2.32...ganda sana kaso red DOW ulit ngayun kaya sorry na naman marahil today.... _________________ "...when winning, stay humble, let the number of your friends grow as you grow your winnings..." -- oyietan

THE PHISIX
The DOW dropped another 100 points on worries about the U.S. economy, which appears to be recovering more slowly than expected. The situation in Europe is also causing concern because the contagion has spread from Greece to Spain and Portugal and might embrace Italy and Ireland as well. French president TRICHET has left early to address the problem. The DOW is now well below the psychologically important 10,000 level. Most Asian markets were little affected so it is remarkable that the Philippines should again be the worst performing market in Asia. The PHISIX plunged 49 points, after being 57 points down, to 2798. Worse still, gross turnover surged to P3.3 billion, a bad sign. There were no block sales to account for the increase and foreign brokers were actively buying a number of blue chips, so the selling must all be local. Losers swamped gainers by 95 to 19 with only 6 in the top 50 stocks. There were 10 active stocks led by MWC with P585M. However, nearly all of this was represented by a cross sale of 37M shares worth P580M. The risk factor on the PHISIX dropped to 3 (extremely low) but wait for the market to stabilize before jumping in. NEVER TRADE AGAINST THE TREND. Foreign brokers were extremely active and bought a net P345M. They bought SM (P112M), TEL (P104M), AGI (P60M), ALI (P56M), EDC (P38M), FGEN (P36M), BDO (P27M), FLI (P24M), MEG (P23M) and FPH (P22M); they sold BPI (P48M), JFC (P36M), MWC (P35M), AC (P32M) and GLO (P32M).
The President of PRIUS said on TV last night. “Give us a brake.”
Marc FABER said, “The U.S. would be rated junk, if it were a company.”
