i use bpitrade cause it's easier for me to register dati because i have an account with bpi. kakatakot ang down times nila during trading hours, for the past year i've encountered 3 down times.

to bpitrade users who may not know about this, ang pinaka ayaw ko, pag naexit mo yung bpitrade sa browser mo ng di ka nakasignout, for 10 minutes you can't log in, pero sasabihin sayo "user already logged on".

it obviously looks like a bug, but according to bpi, the 10 minutes is a security measure. their IT is crap for doing that, dapat pwede mag login if you exit the window, when you try to log in again the system shouldn't say "user already logged on" when in fact you're not. i see no logic with that security measure.

badtrip tlga ung philstocks. asar. sell me meralco nung monday. at biglang bumagsak kahapon dhil sa hostage taking and other factors. Pro ngyon pag open 172 e kahapon close nila 171. waiting me n kung tumama sa 173 bibili n me sa 173 to 174. ksi binta me sa 177.80. Pro nung binuksan ko ung philstocks e di prin online khit 9:40 n. from 172 tumaas n ng 177 ang meralco asar. Kaysa nakapagday trade me ngyon at kumita nalugi pa me. Asar tlaga. kumukulo ngyon dugo ko sa philstocks.

Hello everyone! Smile

No professor today, got off work early. Makakapag-aral ako about the stock market today! Hehehe. Very Happy

Question lang po. I've heard that, of the 200-or so brokerage houses who are members in the PSE, only around 10 have online trading plaforms. Is this true?
My classmate (the guy who introduced me to stock trading) said that he trades online kasi mahal daw ang services ng isang broker. Is that true? I'm not tech-savvy, so mas prefer ko ang maki-deal with a broker. Pero that may be tedious (at may risk pa na dayain ka ng broker mo - any 'horror stories' about that?); so, I'd like to find out what those 10-or so online trading platforms are and find out which one is the best platform to use (in terms of fees, research info, user interface, etc.) So far I've heard of Citisec, Philstocks, BPITrade and First Metro, not sure about the others. Marami po akong tanong. Hehehe. Sana po may makatulong.

Will learn more about FA and TA in the meantime. Thanks in advance! Razz

i can only do inputs for BPI and COL since I havent tried the other accounts. I believe these may be the 2 biggest online traders in the country.

first of all, if you need and want guidance, of course sa broker ka tatawag and yes mas mahal ang trades. though hndi ka naman siguro dadayain if you have personal relationships.

BPI: if you have BPI account is very convenient specially to add and widraw funds. I guess it goes without saying that there's the backing of the BPI conglomerate as well. however the downside is always down ang system, cannot trade etc and lacks a lot of functionality - very basic info lang.

COl -if you want faster trades and in 1 glance know details about your stock position COL is it. besides there's also a lot of customer support like free training etc for members. very easy to navigate, but sometimes slows down as well, but not as much as BPI. to widraw funds, its a bit more tedious since they dont have yet the online functionality to do so but u can deposit online, thru bpi as well (online banking)

Same lang cost of trading between the 2.

...i am using BPITRADE. Convenient sya in adding and withrawing of funds but I feel deprived of charts and research reports. Di sya pwedeng pang daytrades. Better use COL instead..

What I don't like with BPI Trade is that the market value is usually 0.01 lower than the actual market closed price in PSE. Konti nalang papalitan ko na ito. Rolling Eyes

^ I would no longer suggest First Metro. I bought some PCOR MArch 22 at P9.92. This is an initial position. Yesterday my cost become P17!!!

They have yet to answer my complain. SLOWWWW customer service.

BEWARE!
